Kristina, 14 , has been playing the violin for 6 years, and the piano for 7 years. Song-A Cho is her current violin teacher and Takano Calise is her current piano teacher. She has participated in many orchestras, including LISFA, SCMEA, HMEA, Metropolitan Youth Orchestra of New York, and Brookhaven Arts & Music. Kristina has had the privilege to perform under Maestro Itzhak Perlman through East End Arts. She has performed in prestigious venues such as Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall.  Under Takano Calise, she received a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition from a former NY congressman, for playing the violin in a group called the Cherry Blossoms. The performance was dedicated to war veterans. The quartet first began performing together in 2017 at the Southampton Strings Festival, a musical summer camp run by Jessica Tortorice located at the Southampton Cultural Center.  Since then, the friends have grown very close. Being a part of this quartet has been nothing short of an amazing experience for Kristina.  They always share their thoughts, feelings and opinions with each other. Kristina feels that it is such a great experience to be able to play beautiful music alongside her friends. She looks forward to be playing with the quartet in future performances.
